ADAMA JARJU SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION
The Adama Jarju Scholarship Foundation was established on the 29th of December, 2020, with company registration number 2020/C13691.
The idea for the foundation came as a surprise when Tara Henry, the co-founder of RunTheBases, proposed an idea during a video call. She expressed her desire to gift a scholarship as a birth gift. Tara then suggested that I establish a foundation in my own name to support five female students from five communities where our programs are active. These communities include Kartong, Madina Salam, Gunjur, Berending, and Siffoe.
Since 2021, we have achieved great success with this initiative. We have been paying the school fees for these students and providing both schools and individuals with essential learning materials.
In selecting the students, we prioritize the most vulnerable among them—those whose families struggle to afford school materials, uniforms, shoes, bags, etc.
To ensure the continued success and expansion of this project, we aim to support these girls through their University and Tertiary Education. We also hope to extend our support to more vulnerable young girls throughout the country, as it is often difficult for girls to access education and opportunities.
Our goal is to create more opportunities for young girls to realize their full potential—whether through acquiring skills or receiving a full education. However, to sustain and grow this initiative, we need sponsorships to support more young girls in their educational journeys.
